What to expect

At Winchester Road you will find an imperfect family of believers who have been baptized into Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38). We believe that everyone is welcome in the Lord's church. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from (John 3:16). It is our goal as Christians to follow the teachings of Jesus.

During our services, you will find a simple format modeled after what we read about in the New Testament. Worshipers are encouraged to worship God in acts of worship that are from the heart and according to the truth (John 4:24).  There is congregational singing (Colossians 3:16), communing with the Lord in His supper every first day of the week (I Corinthians 11:23-29; Acts 20:7) and giving (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

You can expect bible-based preaching and classes. We believe all scripture is from God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and has the power to transform the minds and hearts of men and women and to transform broken and shattered lives.

Ultimately, we want to be a place where the gospel is proclaimed, both in what we preach and how we live, serve, and love.

You will find a variety of styles at Winchester Road. Some will be wearing jeans or their work uniforms, and then others like to dress up in a suit and tie or dress and heels. Wear what you feel most comfortable in.
